Bike Rental Agreement
Terms & Conditions
Wherever used herein, the term “equipment” shall include any equipment rented from The River House, Dungloe, its agents, servants, The River House, Dungloe and employees shall not be responsible for personal injuries or property damage, loss or delay incurred by any person arising out of the act of negligence of any direct or supplemental carrier or other person rendering any of the services or products being offered in these rentals; nor shall The River House, Dungloe. be responsible for any injuries, death, damage, loss or delay in any means of transportation or by reasons of any event beyond the actual control of The River House, Dungloe, or of any agent or supplier, or due to force majeure. Renters follow any suggested itinerary at their own risk and agree not to hold The River House, Dungloe responsible for injury or death resulting from accidents. We strongly recommend the use of approved helmets whenever mounted on a bicycle. Helmets will be provided at no extra cost. The bicycles provided for use are in satisfactory operating condition and participants agree to use them at their own risk or call deficiencies to the attention of a company representative. Instruction in the use of bicycles will not be provided and participants affirm that they are familiar with the use of a multi-speed bicycle.
 
 
 
Bike Hire
  1. All hired bikes remain the property of the Company and shall not be sold, hired or loaned out by the Client
  2. The Client acknowledges that the bike hired is in good condition and undertakes to return the bike and any accessories in that same condition, or to make a payment to the Company, immediately on demand, sufficient to return the bike to that condition.
  3. The Company shall not be liable for any damage or loss arising from the Clients use of the equipment. The Client shall indemnify the Company against any claim howsoever arising as a result of the Client’s use of the bike during the period of hire.
  4. In the event that the bike and/or any accessories are lost or stolen the Client shall indemnify the Company for the costs of replacing those items. Should the equipment subsequently be returned in a satisfactory condition these moneys will be repaid.
  5. The Client will ensure that the bike is adequately secured when not in use and will immediately notify the Company or one of it’s representatives in the event of any theft, loss, breakdown or other occurrence relating to the bike or associated accessories.
 
Responsibility for Damage or Loss
Customer agrees he/she will return the equipment in the same good condition as when received, ordinary wear and tear accepted, and to repair and replace lost or stolen, damaged or broken bicycles or parts or to reimburse for said The River House, Dungloe equipment. Stolen or damaged equipment will be charged for as stated on our price replacement chart. Therefore regardless of the party at fault, customer understands and agrees to be responsible for the theft or damage to said equipment.
 
 
Transportation
In the event of an accident, the Company is not responsible for any personal injury to the client. The loss, damage or delay of belongings are the responsibility of the client.
 
 
Subleasing Prohibited
Customer understands and agrees that any subleasing of rental equipment is prohibited and that any such sublease shall immediately cause termination and cancellation of this contract.
 
 
Customer Liability
